Join Us for “Psychology in the Valley” – A Community Seminar Series!
We are excited to announce the first event in our new seminar series, Psychology in the Valley, where scholars from regional colleges and universities will connect with the local community to share and discuss original research in psychology. This free event is a great opportunity to hear from local experts and learn practical tips from their research that can help improve your everyday life and increase your knowledge of psychology and the human condition.

Our inaugural session will feature presentations from new faculty and scholars in the valley, covering fascinating topics such as young adults’ future migration and family planning across cultures. The event is casual, open to the public, and aims to make psychology research accessible to everyone—so whether you’re a student, a psychology enthusiast, or simply curious, we welcome you to join!

1. Dr. Yanbin Li (James Madison University)
“Young Adults Envisioning Future Migration and Family from a Global Perspective”
Dr. Li studies youth and young adults’ development in a global, multicultural context.
2. Dr. Haeyoon Chung (James Madison University)
Dr. Chung’s research focuses on immigrants’ ethnic identity and career development.
