Local Book Drive to Support the Harrisonburg Mercy House

Here is your chance to participate in an upcoming book drive I am organizing, to benefit the Mercy House in Harrisonburg. As a real-estate professional here in Virginia, I’m committed to giving back to our community, and this drive is an opportunity for your viewers/readers to see a tangible way we’re supporting families in need right here in our area.

The Mercy House is a nonprofit that provides critical shelter and support services to families with children who are experiencing homelessness. Their mission includes providing food, clothing, shelter and services that help overcome the barriers leading to homelessness. While many of us may think of book drives for schools or libraries, books also play a powerful role in building stability, hope, and educational progress for children in transition. By donating books and educational materials, we can help Mercy House’s resident children and adults feel valued, keep up with school, develop a love for reading, and bring a sense of normalcy into their lives during a very challenging time.

You can help by reaching out to me before the event to schedule a convenient time on November 30th for me to personally pick up your book donations. Just DM me your email and phone number, and I’ll be in touch to arrange a pickup at your home. I’ll be doing personal pickups throughout the Harrisonburg area, but if you’re outside of the area, please still reach out, we’ll find a way to make it work!
