Deyerle Series on Local History Session 4: Revolution on the Frontier

This year’s Deyerle Series on Local History and Culture will celebrate VA250 with a focus on the Shenandoah Valley.

Join us for the fourth lecture in the series as we host Misti Furr and Dale Cook of the Frontier Culture Museum of Virginia. What does independence mean for Virginians in the backcountry and for the myriad Indigenous nations in the Eastern Woodlands? This talk provides unique windows into the stories of backcountry peoples during the Revolution, the impact to their daily lives, and the formation of new identities.
